Get Involved

Every Community Asset Starts With People Who Show Up

NCHN's work in Southern Dallas County and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth region depends on volunteers, congregations, clinicians, employers, and donors. Here is exactly how you can help — and what each commitment actually involves.

Ways to get involved

Become a Community Ambassador

Individuals and volunteers

Ambassadors are trusted residents, volunteers, and lay leaders who share accurate health information and connect neighbors to care. We provide orientation, plain-language materials, and a direct referral pathway. Most ambassadors commit a few hours each month.

Host a Health Education Session

Churches and community organizations

Congregations, community centers, and neighborhood organizations can host a health education session at their own site. You provide the room and the invitation; we bring the content, the presenter, and follow-up resources for attendees who need care.

Partner as a Clinic or Provider

Healthcare providers and clinics

Clinics, practices, and health systems partner with NCHN on referral pathways, service coordination, and shared community outreach so patients who fall between systems are not lost between them.

Precept, Teach, or Mentor

Practicing clinicians and educators

Experienced clinicians strengthen the entire pipeline by precepting students, mentoring APRN fellows, or teaching in the Excellence Training Center. Certification and structure are provided; your experience is what we cannot manufacture.

Corporate & Employer Partnership

Businesses and employers

Employers sponsor workforce training cohorts, hire program graduates, underwrite clinic access for uninsured patients, or provide in-kind support such as supplies, transportation, or meeting space.

Give a Tax-Deductible Gift

Donors and foundations

Charitable gifts fund the parts of our work no insurer reimburses: low-cost visits for uninsured patients, medication delivery, community education, and workforce training. NCHN is a 501(c)(3) organization and gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

How to take the first step

  1. Email info@necessarycarehealthnetwork.org or use our contact form, and tell us which role interests you.
  2. We schedule a short conversation to understand your availability, skills, and community.
  3. You complete orientation for the role — brief for ambassadors, more structured for clinical and training roles.
  4. We match you to an active need and stay in contact as your role develops.
